The Summit Lofts Boutique Hotel is a property where all guests should experience an exceptionally clean, safe, and restful stay. In order to make your stay as pleasant as possible, we have established the following Hotel Policies. Thank you for being an excellent guest!
No Smoking, Vaping or Burning Incense at the Property– The Summit Lofts Boutique Hotel has a no-smoking policy within all rooms, suites and public areas. A cleaning fee will be added to the room bill if guests do not follow our no-smoking policy. This applies to smoking cigarettes, vaping, burning incense and all other smoking activities.
Pets Are Only Allowed in Suite 102, No Exceptions – Our accommodation policy doesn’t allow pets in any of the rooms other than 102.
Quiet Hours - Quiet hours are from 10pm-7am (they are also the quiet hours in the City of Mt Shasta overall).
Self Check-in – The Summit Lofts Boutique Hotel is a self check-in accommodation and we do not have a front desk that processes reservations on site. All reservations must be made online. You will receive a door code to access your room 24 hours before your stay. Please be aware that if your reservation is made for same day check-in after 4pm, it may take up to 15 minutes to receive your door code via email.
No Unregistered Guests - This property is not a place to host friends or family who are not registered to stay.
Stairs – Please note that Suite 101 is located on the ground floor and is ADA accessible. Suite 102 is also located on the ground floor and has 4 small stairs located within that Suite. All other rooms/suites are located on the second story with one flight of stairs to climb so pack your bags with stairs in mind.
Check-In After 4 P.M. and Checkout is by 11 A.M. We are a contactless, self check-in hotel. Self check-in will be anytime after 4pm, however you are welcome to arrive anytime after this. Check-out will be anytime before 11am. While we try to go above and beyond to accommodate our guests, we cannot offer early check-ins or late departures. This is to allow our cleaning crew ample time to make sure your room or suite is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized before and after your stay.
Parking - There is plenty of free, overnight on-street parking available within 1-2 blocks of the hotel. A parking map will be included with your check-in instructions.
Cancellations – A $25 cancellation fee will be charged for all cancellations. See below for percentage refunds based on time of cancellation (Does not apply to group bookings. Please email for group cancellation policy details).
- 14+ days prior to arrival, guest receives 100% refund
- 8-13 days prior to arrival, guest receives 50% refund
- 5-7 days prior to arrival, guest receives 25% refund
- 0-4 days prior to arrival, guest receives no refund
As a small independent hotel, we are not able to offer refunds outside of the established cancellation policy above. Our property is located in an area that experiences winter weather and the potential of wildfires in the summer/fall. Refunds or credits will only be extended if there is a state mandated road closure of I-5 near the property or if there is a state mandated evacuation order.
Alterations to Reservation - Except for adding days to an existing stay, reservation changes 7 days or fewer before arrival are considered on a case by case basis and subject to a $75 alteration fee.
Children Must Be with an Adult at all times – Due to the historic nature of our building and to ensure the comfort and safety of everyone, guests under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times while at the hotel.
Payment – We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. We do not accept cash or checks.
Extra bed – We do not have extra beds to add to our existing room configurations.
Room keys – Our property is equipped with smart locks for a simple self check-in process. You will be sent all self check-in information, including unique door codes for your stay. Keys are not required.
Free Wi-Fi – Access to our fast & reliable fiber internet WiFi is free for our registered guests. The access password is provided with your check-in instructions. There is also a QR code within each room for quick login access.
Housekeeping services – Linens and bath towels are included with your room. We do not provide daily housekeeping service. Should you need fresh towels or linens during your stay, please let us know and our housekeeping team will deliver them between the hours of 11am-4pm. We suggest you bring beach towels as our white towels are not available for off-site use.
Breakfast – Breakfast is not provided. There is an award winning coffee shop, Theory Coffee & Bakery, located on the ground floor of the hotel building. There are also several other excellent breakfast spots within walking distance of the hotel such as Yak's Cafe, Black Bear Diner, Alua's Thrive Bar (Superfood Cafe) and Starbucks.
Rates policy – Rates adjust based on availability. The room rate includes accommodation & tourist taxes. Rates are subject to change at any time and may increase or decrease at the hotel’s discretion. Summit Lofts Boutique Hotel reserves the right to refuse a booking.
Reservations – All reservations must be guaranteed with a valid major credit card which is charged at the time you make your reservations.
Loss or damage of guests’ belongings – Summit Lofts Boutique Hotel assumes no liability for lost, misplaced, stolen, or damaged valuables or belongings. If you discover that you have left behind something of value to you, please contact us immediately and we will try to assist you in locating your lost item.
Fire alarm – In case of fire, please follow instructions from the evacuation plan attached to the back of your main room door.
Damage of property – Guests will be held responsible for any loss or damage of the hotel property caused by themselves, their guests or any person for whom they are responsible. In case of any damages to the hotel property the guest must cover the cost of all damage.
